Solved issues in mantis

Hello,
I was looking at open and unassigned issues in mantis to see
what I
could do yesterday, and guess what : most of the issues I
found had a
patch submitted in mantis' mantis. Even in the roadmap, the
only issue
blocking release 1.0.7 has a patch, and it's the same for
the two issues
blocking release 1.1.0.

So I thought that maybe I could help on checking which
issues should be
closed/solved, which patch have been included in CVS and
which ones
haven't. The question is how ? What could I do to help in
issues
management for mantis ? (checking patches, changing issues
status ...)

Regards,

The other day I was thinking about the same topics.
I'd have a couple of proposals; not really
"original" ideas, but they
are working for other projects do I assume it would be
beneficial for
mantis:

* a bug triage event, where interested people gather in IRC
and
classify/fix/whatever the most number of bugs in a small
timeframe. Of
course, this could be a recurring event.

* an additional field for the "upload file"
subsection, where the user
can specify if the attached file is a patch for the issue.
This of
course should go along the ability to query for bug with
patches
atteched, so that we can look first at those.

Just reference, I am attaching the "Create New
Attachment" page from
bugzilla, where I "borrowed" the idea
