Does Haali Media Splitter (AR) accept a push source filter?

 

[What I would like to accomplish]

I am writing a custom network source filter and had a look at the Async sample that comes with MS Windows SDK, but it seems to be quite a lot to do make it suit my need, as Async must know the total size of the stream in advance. What I have understood is that it would be easier to use a push source filter, but I still do not know if that is appropriate for what I am doing. If anyone knows how I could go about this problem, please let me know.
