Essiac preparations instructions

1.5 pounds of burdock root (arctium lappa)
1 pound sheep sorrel, (rumex acetossela) organic powdered or wild crafted
4 oz of slippery elm bark (ruberus fulva)
1 oz turkish rubarb root (rheum palmatum) and 8 oz of cats claw mix it all up dry

Boil 1 gallon of distilled, not purified, not spring, but distilled water, in a non reactive pot – stainless steal or enamel/canning pot bring the water to a boil

take the distilled gallon of water off the heat, stir in a ½ cup of the powder into the water. (do not stir in the powder while still boiling the water, it will boil over)

Put the distilled gallon of water with the now added ½ cup of water back onto the burner and simmer for 20 minutes turn the heat off and cover the pot and let it sit for 8 hours (overnight)

The liquid is now the Essiac. You are going to throw away the sludge of herbs after you bring it to a boil again. Then strain off the gunk/herbs,

Put the liquid in dark glass bottles and store in the fridge. (If you make small batches as above this storing in any glass bottle in the fridge will work.)

Taking Essiac:

Pour out 2 oz, or 1/4 cup or 50 mils of the Essiac
Add 2 oz of boiling water to the Essiac.

Sip now 4 oz of liquid as you give thanks to the great spirit for being healed. Do this 4 times a day

Half hour before meals, mid morning, mid afternoon and just before bed
Drink the Essiac/boiled water tea on an empty stomach.
