5775 Colon cancer puzzle may be insufficient levels of B vitam

December 27, 2007 Dear Friends and Valued Customers, In the quest to find a cure for colon cancer, researchers study every aspect of the disease trying to find common traits that may cause the disease, as well as treatments that may destroy it. It’s a big task, yet an important one. According to the Mayo Clinic website: “Colon cancer is cancer of the large intestine (colon), the lower part of your digestive system. Rectal cancer is cancer of the last six inches of the colon. Together, they’re often referred to as colorectal cancers. About 112,000 people are diagnosed with colon cancer annually, and about 41,000 new cases of rectal cancer are diagnosed each year.” One piece of the colon cancer puzzle may be insufficient levels of B vitamins in the body, according to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition. The great lack of trust is evident even amongst doctors. Polls and questionnaires show that three doctors out of four (75 per cent) would refuse any chemotherapy because of its ineffectiveness against the disease and its devastating effects on the entire human organism.
