Any chance we could see AJAX updating for articles similar
to the
updating that's in the Design area?

I love the way you can make several modifications to your
design
templates and since the form submits via AJAX, the browser
(or at
least Firefox) remembers all your edits to the text field
and allows
you to undo and redo to your heart's content. I realize this
is what
the article versioning is supposed to be used for, but
sometimes it's
much easier to hit undo than to search through your previous
versions.

Sure. I think the only tricky thing is dealing w/ the file
upload
field. Probably need to check for the existence of a file
and revert
to a standard post in that case. There's also the option of
doing an
upload via a hidden iframe too.

Ah, I forgot about the asset upload bit. I usually upload
assets via
the dedicated Assets area. Any objection to that bit being
it's own
seperate form?

I know you've been pretty busy recently, so would you prefer
it if I
just looked into working up a patch?

The problem is we made the form surround the main div and
the sidebar
div, so that we could get the section checkboxes working
without any
javascript whammy jammy (I'd go into details, but it gets
highly
technical from here). I'd like the form to be functional
without
javascript if possible. I'm quite sure there are spots in
the admin
that require javascript, but I'd like to keep that to a
minimum if I
can.
