How do I reference a specific article?

How do I directly pull in the body (or any other part) of a
particular
article from within a template or even other article in
Mephisto/liquid
... please tell me this is possible and easy?

Do I need to write my own plugin  or droplet?

 E.g. I have a sidebar which should be on most pages of a
section....
etc.

For now, yes.  Currently there's no way to do this in
Mephisto.
