| I'm trying to install Mephisto on a shared server (I know I know...shared = vomit) and it's not a setup I can find much documentation for. Support was helping some but last night I ran into a DNS issue while shifting the domain and I then they decided to take a vacation or not come back online or something.
But yeah, it's a LiteSpeed server with Rails 1.2.3 and ruby 1.8.4 (2005-12-24) [i686-linux] installed.
The instructions I was given we're fairly unusual to me since my VPS was litespeed and I hadn't had to jump through any off the wall hoops.
The user manageable rail configuration file is located at user's home directory or virtual host root directory, a file named as .ls_rails_config. syntax is like You will have to create this file in your /home/USER/ directory

RailsAppMap testApp "

RailsAppMap testApp "

App Path is relative to the user's home directory or the virtual host root directory.
Whenever this file is touched, Rails applications will be restarted.
Another account had Mephisto and support said that my config in the .ls_rails_config was correct as following.
RailsApp imagetic "/mephisto" "production"; 4 1
RailsAppMap imagetic "imagetic.com" "/"
So I have /mephisto inside /home/USER/ and and everything went as per instructions for installing mephisto. After running rake db:bootstrap RAILS_ENV=production it should work I assume. The database populated correctly and everything looks right, but all I see is a directory listing. I'm assuming my config is not correct or the server is not running the application for whatever reason.
Any ideas for weird shared host troubles?
