Hello everyone

Getting a strange problem logging into the admin site of one of our mephisto blogs.

We're running it as multi-site and I recently moved this blog over from one of our bespoke rails blogs that we built a couple of years ago.

I've moved other blogs into the system with a modified converter fine, but when I did this one I missed the extended_html field form our bespoke blog.

I then stupidly added the extended_html field to the converter and ran it again.

So this created duplicates of the items, I then ran a sql quiery of

"delete from contents where site_is = 16"

16 is the site id of the new site, I then ran the script again.

Here comes the really stupid bit.

I couldn';t login at this point, kept getting this error from the production logs

ActionView::TemplateError (undefined method `title'; for nil:NilClass) on line #3 of app/views/admin/overview/_comment_event.rhtml:

If anyone knows a really simple fix for my dumbass mistake could they let me know, I'm new to mephisto, but I will be learning.

well, you could start by correcting that nilClass error by
adding a
test on that line #3. Hopefully this will get you farther.

Shouldn't you have run your delete query on all tables that
contain a
site_id column - just to be sure you'd flushed everything
out?

assets, cached_pages, content_versions, events, feedbacks,
memberships
and sections

My guess would be that the events table (which is used to
populate the
admin overview page) is linking to one of the articles in
the contents
table that you deleted.

thanks for the tips fellas

I rolled back to a dump i did just prior to attempting the conversion and then did the conversion again and all is sweet.

rob-twf, you were right mate, there were items pointing to articles that no longer existed

it's good to go now though

thanks again
