htt:///www.mysite.com/myfirstsection/articlename
cheers!

Yeah, this is what happens by default if you place an
article with
title articlename in a section called myfirstsection. All
you have to
do is set 'Type of section' of myfirstsection to 'Section
with
multiple pages (one article per page)'.

Hi,
Actually what I have on my site is 2 sections and both are
blogs.
What I have is to have the urls:
www.mysite.com/myfirstsection/articlename
www.mysite.com/mysecondsection/articlename
Is this possible with "Section with multiple
articles"?
thanks for the help!

Is anyone able to help?
Seems like there is no way to have 2 different sections of
"Section
with multiple articles" and have the articles of each
section to be
grouped under the relevant section folder.
Example:
www.mysite.com/SectionOne/ArticleName
www.mysite.com/SectionTwo/ArticleName

You can make this work when you use the "Section with
Multiple pages"
section type. The first page in the section will be shown
at the
section path
www.mysite.com/SectionOne/ <-- ArticleName1
www.mysite.com/SectionOne/ArticleName2
www.mysite.com/SectionOne/ArticleName3
...
Making this work for blog posts is something targeted for
1.0.
Current thinking (at least mine), is to set a
"preferred" section for
each article, and that would either influence its full
permalink, or
add a ":section" for the Article url style so you
can set it as you
describe.
I created an entry in the lighthouse (http://ar-code.lighthous
eapp.com/projects/34/tickets/130-add-default-section-to-arti
cles
) so we can track it.
Cheers,
Pascal.

When you say "Current thinking" it means what is
upcoming for 1.0?
I did try ":section" to the url style before and
it did not work.

yes

No, that does not work yet. I did experiment along this
line, but
ended up using the approach with the non blog sections.
Cheers,
Pascal.

I think it would also be useful to be able to different url
styles for
different sections. For example :year/:month/:day/:permalink
for blog
articles and :section/:permalink for other articles.
I wanted to add this comment to your ticket, but it just
says "This
has been marked as spam" :(.

yes, makes sense

I know. I tried to fish it back, but the feature did not
work on that
one. I've asked Rick to look at it.
Cheers,
Pascal.

That's the current thinking. Pascal and I have rapped a bit
on some
changes to this to allow more flexible URLs. Basically, an
article
will have a main section it belongs to, which defines the
article's
permalink style.
