Thread: file manager default dir

file manager default dir
country flaguser name
United States
2007-07-16 23:24:54
Hi,
I created a directory /assets for all images/documents that
I want my
users to be able to manage. Is there a way to have the File
Manager
startup in this directory and keep the user locked in
there?
Thanks.
Larry

Hi,

this is partly possible: a user has a "home
directory" which you can
define when you create it. The user won't be able to write
outside of
that dir, but he can still browse other dirs in read-only
mode.

You can't change a user's home directory using the
interface, but you
can edit it manually (in /meshcms/private/users).

Thanks Luciano, I'm looking at this xml file but I do not
see an entry
for home directory. What should the property name be and
what is the
format for the directory reference?

Hi,

the parameter is "P_HPT", and you must use the
home path as value, with
or without leading slash, e.g. "" or "/"
for the root, and "/home/larry"
or "home/larry" for a subdir.
