I disagree. rel determines the relationship between the referred
resource and the current one. For example, this:
<a rel="tag"
href="/foo"/>foo</a>
could be interpreted as:
"'/foo' is a 'tag' for 'this page'"
rev
switches the subject and object, so this:
<a rev="vote-for" href="/bar">bar
is great</a>
could be interpreted as:
"'this page' is a 'vote-for' '/bar'"

I think you have things reversed.
