Hi,

(Apologies for cross posting, but wasn't sure which list
this was being
discussed on)

I read on the microformats site that there are plans to
develop XFN -
that's something I'd be extremely interested in as our
company has
numerous clients who would benefit greatly from that. Please
let me know
how I can contribute...

You might be a bit confused. XFN already exists (and has
since 2004):
http://gmpg.org/xfn/ .

There has, however, also been discussion about describing
more
professional relationships, that XFN doesn't cover*.

* XFN *does* cover some professional relationships, anyone
interested
in extending it or creating a new microformat should try
using those
relationships first.

Sorry, it was a typo on my part - yes, I was referring to
XPN, not XFN.
I've already been experimenting with XFN but it's not fully
suited to
corporate environments and XPN sounds like it would be much
more suitable.

I've not found any information yet on XPN, but would like to
be involved
as I have a number of clients who would benefit from such a
uF and will
be able to contribute ideas and test them out in live
environments
worldwide.

Ponderings on XFN/XBN/XPN

Hi List,

I just threw a blog page together in my wiki pondering about
additional
groupings and relationships that could be added to XFN and
also some
ideas for having a way to define different types of networks
(a bit like
"groupings" but possibly more formal?) and also
adding macroscopic time
information (past/present/future) to relationships:

Is that of any use to you guys?
