Greetings,
We at Haas Computing have been using on-line "Tech Gold"
training licenses for about 5 years now through Element-K
Being that I have offered open spaces to several other kinds of on-site
training we've hosted at Haas through this list serve, it occurred to me
that some of you might be interested in this virtual opportunity as
well.
We are at the point of considering "upgrading" our accounts to
the next level which includes a "virtual lab" and/or "ask
an expert" component. To that end I've arranged to have
representatives from two on-line training vendors come to campus to show
us their wares.
Element-K Wednesday, Feb 15 12- 1pm S300T
Haas
and
Global
Knowledge Monday, Feb 27 12- 1pm S300T Haas
Come join us if you can -in S300T at the Haas school of business -
we have 45 computers - so there should be plenty of room. If you'd like
to rsvp that would help me let the rep know how many handouts to bring.
This will be a hands on product demo - but there is absolutely NO
obligation to buy. I'm certain HCS will at least renew it's current
10 user license. However, knowing the pricing for licenses goes down as
the number of licenses go up; I thought this might be a prime opportunity
for UC Techs to pool our limited resources. Example: 1 tech Gold =
$1000/yr However for 10 - the price drops to $856/yr, so by
the time I buy 8 I might as well get 10. If more people on campus
also choose to buy - the price per unit will go down for all of us.
Or perhaps we can upgrade to the virtual lab level at no additional cost
- that's my thinking any way.
Yours truly,
Kv
