Bernie,
I have some questions about the instructions in your article
about
reporting spam. It says to send the offending email message
as an
attachment. I suspect

How does one save the mail appropriately to send as an
attachment?

When I use File -> Save from Eudora it only saves the
text. It
doesn't save any of the headers. But usually what I'm trying
to
report has a misleading link where the real URL doesn't
match the
text, or some weird image and those are not saved either.
From
Calmail in a browser you can either see the full header or
the
message, but not both. I haven't found a good way to save
the whole
message from one frame of the browser. Perhaps someone on
this list
knows a way to save everything in the message to send as an
attachment. I could send a series of screen shots to capture
the
whole thing, but screen shots would have to be carefully
read by
someone and they give you nothing to cut and paste for
checking against logs.

It would be most helpful to know what matters most for you
to get
about the offending email message - the full header with the
message
id? The image of URL saved in a way that you can see what
misleading
address its HTML points to? Or is getting any old text copy
with a
partial header (no message id) in a timely manner more
important?

Thanks to Monica Mack for demonstrating to me that Eudora
can save
the headers. If you use File -> Save make sure to check
the little
box in lower right called " Include Headers". Then
you can "Save as
type:" HTML and get all the headers and the links.

That was obvious, but sometime you just don't see what is
right in
front of you ...
