University Relations is seeking two qualified people to
assist with a PC desktop migration project that is slated to
begin on March 1st and run approximately 12-15 weeks. The
work will be from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday and will be
performed at six different sites on and around the UC
Berkeley campus. We are looking for people with
Adminsitrative Level experience in Windows XP Workstations,
working knowledge of Active Directory, who are detailed
oriented and able to follow complex written instructions.
Tasks will include:
Installing and removing programs from Windows XP workstation
desktops per written instructions
Joining campus Active Directory domain
Copying user profiles and assigning rights at an
administrative level in Windows XP
Adding configurations to Symantec client firewalls
Introducing end users to domain log in procedures
Tracking progress and completing inventory sheets
