We're seeing our first Vista machines here at I-House and it
is interesting.
Configured for DHCP they can get an IP from a windows DHCP
server and
from a Linksys home router but fail to get an IP from a
computer
running the ISC 3.0 software.
The ISC logs reveal the complete DORA communication between
client
and server as does a packet sniffer on an XP machine
attached to the
same hub as the Vista machine.
We have tried many things including disabling IPv6 and the
registry
edit in KB928233 all to no avail.
So now we're just staring at this thing and going... WOW!
Any insights would be appreciated.
