The Scholar's Workstation Is Moving !
After 16 years in University Hall, The Scholar's Workstation will be moving to Hearst Field Annex, Building D. The move is expected to occur during the Spring Break week, March 26-31.
The move is necessary to support the heightened need for academic space on and around campus, and will serve as a temporary location for the newly formed Technology Acquisition and Sales Division of Information Services and Technology.
We are excited at the prospect of continuing to support the information technology mission of Cal, and to help drive technology standards.
Which Units Are Moving to Hearst Field Annex:
* The Scholar's Workstation Computer Store & Will Call ( move from 41 & 12 University Hall) * Celullar Devices and Services (move from 2484 Shattuck) * Computer Repair and Support (move from 50 University Hall)
During our stay in this temporary location, we will evaluate our business operations and service delivery model as it relates to the overall campus technology needs and services for students, faculty, staff and departments. A search for a long term space will commence immediately after the move.
Order and Delivery Transition (March 5 - 31)
In preparation for the move, there will be an order and inventory transition period during the three weeks leading up to the actual move dates.
We will be closed during the week of the move.
Please watch our website for changes and updates relevant to ordering items on the web, buying in store, and delivery estimates. We will do our best to keep you informed every step of the way, and ask for your patience during this transition. As always, let us know if you have special needs or concerns during this period of time.
At this time, we anticipate getting up and running during the first week in April, with only a slight deviation in business until we regain full service.
