Can you run the repair option from the Windows install disk?
This might be
quicker than trying to pinpoint the problem/correction.

Subject: [Micronet] HELP - NEED a Quick Fix - Keyboard and
mouse do not work
???
Importance: High
Hello,
Unfortunately my computer crashed yesterday. I was able to
revive the
Windows after the crashed after replacing
"pci.sys".
The keyboard and mouse do not work. The computer does not
have PS2 port for
a keyboard and a mouse. I replaced the
"system.ini" with "[keyboard]
- with type=4" according to Microsoft website, but
still the keyboard and
mouse did not respond.
I do not want to rebuild my computer if not necessary.
If anybody has any idea, PLEASE HELP.
Thanks,
Usha
