Hello,
Technical Account
Management(TAM) of IST is hosting a SharePoint class on campus.
This Four-day course is scheduled to be held:
DATE:
March 26,27,28 and 29, 2007
Time: 9 AM to
5 PM.
Location: 74 Barrows Hall Training
Room
The course has no formal prerequisites. If there are only 10
students, the cost for the class is $1000.00 per student, If there
are 16 students the class will cost $650 per
student. Class outline and details about the
course are listed below. Limited to 16 spaces in the course. All
campus staff are welcome to apply. If you or member of your staff would
like to attend this course, please e-mail as soon as possible to
tam berkeley.edu, and please include the information specified in
the course registration form displayed below.

Windows SharePoint Services: Building Collaborative Solutions
with Team Web Sites
Overview
Many companies, departments, and project teams need to share
information and collaborate on projects in an efficient and
cost-effective manner. In this course, you will learn how to use Windows
SharePoint Services to create virtual team Web sites to enable
information sharing and collaboration between project team or department
members. You will also learn to expand your SharePoint solution to
include a variety of teams with different needs and manage the sites and
servers. You will learn how to create and use workspaces, as well
as learn how to administer and support your entire Windows SharePoint
Services Web-based solution
Course Objective
You will create a virtual team Web site to enable information sharing
between project team or department members. You will also use Windows
SharePoint Services to create virtual Web-based meeting and document
workspaces, as well as administer, maintain, and extend the functionality
of a team Web site.
Prerequisites
You will need experience with an Internet browser product.
Information management experience is also helpful.
Audience
IT staff, programmers, finance, operations, sales, or human
resources areas and who are responsible for establishing a team Web site
for projects that allow information sharing between team or department
members.

Will this be specific to Sharepoint 2003 (WSS 2.0), or will it
also include 2007 (WSS 3.0)?
