I have a client who
needs to send numerous excel files to via email.
I would like to have her put them in a zip file.
There are no zip applications on the computer.
Windows XP

Does UCB have a free application I can put on her computer?

Hello Mary. XP has a built-in zip function. You can select
the
files/directories you want to zip, right-click, then
"Sent To" >
"Compressed (Zipped) Folder."

We find IZArc (http://www.izarc.org/ )
does a good job. It also
handles some of the more obscure formats we see from time to
time.
There is no fee for it.

XP has a zip program built in to the OS.

To use it, highlight the files you want to compress. Right
click on the
files and choose "Send To". Choose
"Compressed (zipped) folder". XP will
create a zip file in the current folder,
