Thread: I need to borrow a Mac OS 9.2 install CD

I need to borrow a Mac OS 9.2 install CD

While imaging some PowerMac G4's, I came across a couple
that haven't had
the Firmware update installed. The update from Apple only
runs on OS 9.2
systems (must BOOT into Classic, not just run from within OS
X). Looking
around, I realize there are no OS 9.2.x install CDs nor any
OS X CDROMs
that will properly install this older system.

So my question is, do you have an OS 9.2.x install disc and
can I borrow
it (or get a DMG of it) long enough to install OS 9.2.x, run
the firmware
upgrade, and then erase it so I can install a pure OS X
system?

The reason the firmware update is important is the machine
won't go into
Target Firewire mode without it. (And yes, this model will
go into Target
mode as long as the newer firmware version is running on
it).

Thanks,
