I believe version 7.0.1 (the now current version on
software.berkeley.edu) has alleviated some of the crashing
problems people were experiencing.
Our support contract with Qualcomm requires campus users to
use one of
the designated campus contacts, of which I am one. I have
previously
reported such crashing problems to Qualcomm, but they have
not been
forthcoming with satisfactory resolutions.
