One of our faculty needs to retrieve data on a 3M DC600A
data cartridge
tape (circa 1990). Does anyone have equipment that can read
this?

Debra,

The good news is that many mechanisms support that format,
the bad news
is that they're all more than 15 years old. I'm most
familiar with
Archive Corp., here's a link that shows which models support
your format:

If you can find a tape drive, it will likely come in an
external case
with one or two 50-pin Centronics-style(large trapezoidal
with rounded
corners) connectors.

If you can find a drive, I'd be glad help you read it. Odds
go up if
your faculty member knows what OS & sofware was used to
write the tape.
