I have working on upgrading our database server from 2000 to 2005. There
are problems on the database connection from classic ASP to SQL Server
2005. All the database connections worked for SQL 2000 do not work for
SQL Server 2005. I used the following connection string:
strConn="Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=ServerName;Initial
Catalog=DatabaseName; User Id=XXX;Password=XXXXX"
At Database server end, I have configured SQL Server 2005 to allow remote
connections. I have turned on the SQL Server Browser Service.
I have made some changes on the connection string parameters. However, it
still does not work. Have you encountered this problem? Any suggestions
on this issue?
Thanks,
Xing
