| New Ticket system for IS&T ?? |
  United States |

Hi - I've been receiving quite a few
emails that look to me like ticket system auto-replies....did I miss an
announcement in the IT world? I thought perhaps someone was testing,
but now I am noticing my "corrrespondence" with different units
of IS&T is generating an email auto-response.

Joyce,
While we do have an active project to implement a new
Ticketing System
in IST, there isn't anything newly activated that would be
generating
auto-replies. If you'd like to pursue this further, can you
provide
some additional details of what you're receiving.
Thanks,
Harold

Hi Joyce,
It could be possible that IST Footprints Server(Ticketing
system) picked up
your name from LDAP instead of some body's name whose name
matched with your
first name and last name. This kind issue has happened
before too.
Please, forward me or DOCS(docs-staff lists.berkeley.edu) one of
the email
or a ticket number from the email, we will take care of the
issue.
Thanks,
Usha

Are they COIS tickets?
COIS folks somehow managed to turn a recent Micronet posting
of mine
into a trouble ticket in their system. Below is the
response I got
when I followed up with them.

Greg-

I have seen one, from a Micronet post reply. I would hazard
a guess that
the ticket system was in the cc list and I didn't notice.
Result: it
opens a ticket for me...
Or someone is using an address that feeds into the ticketing
system.
