Thread: Migration from Eudora to Outlook 2003?

Migration from Eudora to Outlook 2003?

Has anyone done a migration from Eudora to Outlook 2003? We know we have to go from Eudora to Outlook Express before going to Outlook 2003, but the attachments don't remain connected to the messages. Has anyone found a third-party tool that works for this, or some other resolution?

Thanks in advance for any help.

We use a program called Aid4mail, made by Fookes - http://www.aid4mail.com/

The program will convert between many different formats,
including Outlook
and Eudora. The converted Eudora mail is in standard .pst
format and can be
added as an archive to the Outlook folder structure. We have
not found an
easy solution for converting contacts though. Usually they
must be done by
hand.

My suggestion is rather than thinking of this as an
Eudora to Outlook conversion, think of it as an
Eudora to IMAP conversion. Once you've managed to overcome
all of Eudora's perversions and get your mail into an IMAP
server, it really doesn't make much difference what email
client you're using, as long as it supports IMAP.

(Of course, I'm only talking about email. Contacts, Address
Books,
Aliases, and the rest are another issue).

Cordially,
