We are trying to post a new page link to this page
h
ttp://sociology.berkeley.edu/index.php?page=forums

the first link in the list is the new one,(27 Oct 2007)and
will soon
point to it's own page.

____________________________________________________________
___
Summary:
No new code was written. Only path/file name changes.
All link lines were copy/paste from lines that work
(original 3 links)
No new html/php file was made just a copy and rename of a
working one.
____________________________________________________________
________

To start we used a page from a previous link
http://sociology.berkeley.edu/index.php?page=forum_kels
ey

We copied the file forum_kelsey.php and renamed it to
forum_kelse.php
Kept it in the same folder so no path changes, just a
different file name.

If you go to the link page you can see where the link should
point to
when you hover over the link. forum_kelse, but it gives
invalid page
error if clicked.
If you click the 3rd link down "Teaching as Public
Sociology" it will
take you to the original file forum_kelsey
We have altered the original link(forum_kelsey) to point to
renamed file
and get the same error.

They are both the same file with only a single letter
difference in the
file name.

Why would one link work and the other not?
Something to do with PHP?(which i don't know that well)

Thanks for any time on this,

Oh look i waited a day and half before asking the micronet.
If i had only waited another 30 seconds i would have
answered my own
question.

The answer is the valid_pages.php file.
Which i found on my own, but didn't notice a reference to it
anywhere
just yet.

Looks to me like it might be something to do with index.php.
 Perhaps it
has a list of valid pages that you need to update?

Can you show the code for forum_kelsey.php

This would make it easier for others to figure out what may
be going wrong.
