The Technology Program Office (TPO) in the Office of the CIO is currently
recruiting for the position of IT Program Manager. This position
will serve as the manager for the IT Program group in the TPO and
function as a strategic partner to the AVC/CIO.
The IT Program Manager is responsible for facilitating the efforts of the
Campus Technology Council (CTC). In this role, the incumbent will
develop and administer the annual calendar, plan and facilitate meetings,
manage the IT Funding Request process, and maintain the Campus wide IT
Strategic Plan in a current status by leading a cooperative effort among
campus representatives. ; The incumbent will manage two to four
business analysts assigned to projects in direct support of the Associate
CIOs. ; The IT Program Manager also serves as a professional staff
representative to the AVC/CIO. The responsibilities in this part of
the incumbent's role include representing the AVC/CIO on committees,
leading development and coordination of large technology meetings and
symposium events on campus, and preparing publications and presentations
from the AVC/CIO Office.
The Technology Program Office (TPO) has three key areas of focus:
program, project and communications. The unit supports and
coordinates technology planning and campus IT strategic objectives;
provides professional management of campus impacting technology projects
and sets project management standards; and raises the visibility of the
impact of IT on campus via a multitude of communication paths.
