Subject: RE: [Micronet] Legal requirements
Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2007 10:15:31 -0700
David,
There is a "policy" requirement that all users of
campus electronic communications resources must be notified
by service providers that they must comply with:
The Berkeley Campus Computer Use Policy
The University of California Electronic Communications
Policy
This is imposed by the University rather than by
legislation. See: "Guidelines for Administering
Appropriate Use" (http://technology.berkeley.edu/policy/approp.use.html).
There are also some specific requirements, both legal and
UC/UCB, pertaining to use of particular systems such as
those that contain medical/health information, student
records, etc.

Hi all,
Does anyone know what our legal requirements are regarding
notification of computer use policy to users? Thanks,
