Maybe you could use Skype for the voip with a speakerphone
attachment in
the conference room and the developer could simply use a
headset and
microphone.
A few Skype compatible usb speakerphones were released
recently. Vosky
Chatterbox, US Robotics USR9610, Skytone by Radian Works..
etc
They're under $50 if you look around. I haven't tried any
of them so can't
make a recommendation.
