The DSN-less connection will tell you what the various name-value pairs are.  If you use the advanced option for a file dsn setup, it will instruct you to type in one pair per line, then you can inspect the file for syntax details once the connection checks out.

I am trying to use MS ACCESS as a front end for a small application to access a MYSQL 5.0 database through ODBC. I am trying to set up a File DSN but can not find the correct syntax. Has anyone successfully connect to MYSQL through MS ACCESS?
