Hello Micronet,

I have a question regarding posting a single message to multple lists. If a person is on multiple lists, is there any way, as a sender, to prevent sending the same message to that individual many times? For example, when I send out notices about BPAWG meetings, etc. I often send to 4 or 5 lists. Many people on those lists are not familiar with BPAWG, and they're the ones I'm trying to reach. However, for those who are on EVERY list, can I somehow prevent sending the same message to those people 5 times?

I guess I'm looking at a model sort of like a bcc functionality in email, where you put a list of addressees in a bcc send field, and the email prevents listing all the addressees.

Just kind of thinking out loud here. Thanks for any tips or suggestions, and enjoy the long weekend,

Bond

It is not the same as the bcc: option. That just suppresses
the
addresses from appearing in the recipient's copy. It knows
nothing
about the recipient address or list.

To do what you want would need a mechanism that could
determine the
membership of all the lists and send just one copy (using
which
list?). Since the campus lists are discrete, I don't think
it could be
done.
