You'll probably run into the issue of no shipping amount
which the
authorization process won't like. You could turn of the
force shipping
calculation settings, but then you open up to hackers trying
to mess
with "real" shipping charges. There is a 5.x
module that has a default
fall back shipping method. The Sort Shipping Plus Free
Shipping Option
has a default method when no others qualify, so you don't
get the "no
shipping methods selected". You can set that default
message and the
amount to whatever you want it to be, eg "Shipping
will be charged after
the order" and then set the amount at $0.00.

The module has the added benefit that you can have a free
shipping
option, eg orders over $200.00. It also has some other
features which
you can review at its product page.

Hi William,

You are correct, changing the message does work but the
order can't be run
through because the shipping cost isn't there.

I've looked at your module. Question, is it possible to
have the buyer
charged for the items less shipping and then be contacted
after the fact to
resolve the shipping (based on the weight of the items
purchased)? Also, is
it possible to process the order without any charge and have
the store
contact the buyer to resolve all charges after the fact
(again, based on the
weight of the items purchased)?

How would these scenarios work if the answer is yes for one
or both?

I appreciate your time!

Regards,
