Are you using the built-in paypal module? This used to be a
recurring
problem with Miva's paypal module in prior versions of
Merchant, caused
by the person not clicking the continue button at PayPal to
come back
to your store, causing the order to be lost. Supposedly in
4.24
they fixed that and I had assumed the fix carried through to
version
5, but it's possible it didn't. Or it could have just
been a random
issue where the person didn't click that final continue
button AND
PayPal has not yet notified your store that the order was
placed. Oh,
it is also possible that you haven't completed the entire
setup of the
PayPal module, there is a change that must be made on the
PayPal side
as well to ensure it doesn't lose orders. Here's the help
