Hi,

1. The merchant 5 help files on miva.com are full of
information on how 
to use miva merchant 5.  If you know anything about
software, and it 
sounds like you do, then you don't need a book or anything
like that, 
just peruse the help files.

2. Miva Merchant 5 is basically a fully automated e-commerce
site right 
out of the box.  You would need a merchant account and a
payment gateway 
(sometimes they come together) for payment processing. You
would also 
need a website hosted by a company that knows about miva
hosting, 
companies such as dotcomhost.com, cybrhost.com,
hostasaurus.com.

3. Don't have any recommendations for this question.
