Webboard: indexing nearly stopped...

hello there!

I used to launch indexer manually from command line, of from
cron, but instances were stopped from time to time. i want 7
indexers with 5 threads each work all the time. and i wrote
a perl script that monitors their status, if there are less
then 7 it launches a new processes. and from this moment
strange things begin to occur. each indexer works little
amount of time (few hours - day, or so), then it stops. and
results of indexing became very frustrating - several
hundreds urls per day only against few thousands before. and
amount of expired urls is grown also. database is not very
small now - about 90Gb (mysql 5.0.45), linux. there are no
errors in logs. everything seems to be ok, except amount of
indexed urls.

could you advice me somesthing that can improve indexing
performance?
