Webboard: Indexer taking longer and longer

I have the indexer running from as a cron job and every time
it runs it takes longer and longer.  Initially when I
created the databases and ran the indexer it took less than
30 minutes to crawl all the sites in question.  But now,
about a month later, it's taking over 13 hours!

This is, as the kids say, redonculous.
