Thread: Screen size

I regularly visit a site that grabs the whole screen. I want
to prevent this
by representing in the headers that I am using a smaller
screen. I have used
MODIFY HEADERS to ADD a header NAME "UA-pixels"
with a VALUE "800x600" (both
without quotation marks) but this does not seem to achieve
anything. Is
there something I am doing wrong? Or is MH not an
appropriate tool to
achieve what I want to do?

Thanks, bye, RP

Hi Richard,

Setting the header is only worthwhile if the site honours
the value
being set. If the site does not use that header, setting it
will have
no effect.

Anyway, I would expect the site to use javascript to
determine the
screen size, rather than a request header. Try disabling
javascript
for that site and see what happens.

Gareth
