Is it possible to connect to a monetra server on linux from

a windows client? I tried to install the windows client,
but
it appears it requires a separate license ?

I'll not touch the licensing part of this question, I have
no clue,
but... We have Monetra installed on a Linux server with
port 8444 open
through the firewall for some of our equipment and customer
sites to get
to it (with SSL encryption on that port, unencrypted port
8333 is
blocked). In our office I have the Monetra client and admin
client
installed on my desktop Linux workstation. I have the Wintel
client
installed on our AR person's PC. So no need for X or even
running the
client on the "server" itself, run the client on
Linux/Win/OSX and just
connect to the server _securely_.

Yes, the windows client will work fine communicating to a
linux
Monetra server. It is true that you need a license for the
windows
client. I can transfer the Linux client license to Windows
for you
if you desire, then you'll be able to install it on
Windows.
