An idea for MD new logo !?

Hi all,
what do you think about this idea:

to make new graphics for MD in order to enhance its

Hi,

I like the idea of the logo. Nice work! Some comments: 

      * the logo should follow the Tango style.
      * the "monodevelop" text looks a bit...
monotonous.
      * when combined with the text, if find the logo too
big.
      * how did you choose those colors?

Nice, but besides LLuis comments about size, I think the
colors
remember too much Microsoft logos for office and VS.NET.

Looking at the Tango icon guidelines
(http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Theme_Guidelines
), they don't
easily adapt well for such an abstract icon/ĺogo as the one
you
propose.  I think maybe going a step back towards the
"#" origin, may
yield something that has more "reality" in it to
be able to use
shadows and outlines.

I like the logo. Just two comments about the text: I now
find it too big
in relation to the logo, and I would stress
"develop" instead of
"mono" (I think the develop concept is more
important).

Personally I like to the logo on top of the page. I know
somebody said that
the emphasis should be more on "develop" than
the mono, but I think develop
is still emphasized by the use of a different color, in this
case gray.
There is nice balance in the text by using the bold Mono and
gray Develop.
The only thing I agree on with the top logo on the page is
that I the image
should be a bit bigger than the text, as it the case with
the logos lower
down on the page.

I like the logo.  It's not the direction I would have gone,
but it's
pretty cool.

A couple of things:

* I like this one:

but I think the font size is still a little too big in
relation to the
symbol.  Also, I think there should be a little more space
between the
text and the symbol.

* I really like the splash screen.  The only thing I think
is that the
text 'Free GNOME Development Environment' doesn't
contrast well enough
with background.  especially the light blue part.  I think I
might put a
think black outline around it.
