Hello,
I have installed MonoDevelop 0.15 on Debian Etch and I
was trying to compile a 'Hello World' console program
using the default project that comes with MonoDevelop.
It gave me the following error:
/////////////////////////////////////////////
Building Solution testmd3
Building Project: testmd3 (Debug)
Performing main compilation...
Build failed. ApplicationName='mcs',
CommandLine='" /tmp/tmp5d152fc9.tmp"',
CurrentDirectory='/home/user/testmd3/testmd3',
PATH='/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/games'
////////////////////////////////////////////
I guess the reason is that I don't have 'mcs'
installed, I have 'gmcs' installed - C# 2.0 compiler.
I don't want to work with the older version of the C#
compiler only with the new one. Can MonoDevelop handle
the newer C# 2.0 compiler? If so, how do I configure
it?
Regards,
Bobby Bowman
