I'm newbie of Linux and I need to use Mono for one project.
I have downloaded the source code and compiled the
Monodevelop 0.16 on
KUBUNTU 7.10 (with KDE).
Whe I start monodevelop I receive an error :
Exception occurred: The required addin
'MonoDevelop.SourceEditor,0.16.0'
is not installed.
Mono.Addins.MissingDependencyException: The required addin
'MonoDevelop.SourceEditor,0.16.0' is not installed.
at Mono.Addins.AddinSessionService.ResolveLoadDependencies
(System.Collections.ArrayList addins,
System.Collections.Stack depCheck,
System.String id, Boolean optional) [0x00000]
at Mono.Addins.AddinSessionService.ResolveLoadDependencies
(System.Collections.ArrayList addins,
System.Collections.Stack depCheck,
System.String id, Boolean optional) [0x00000]
This for many AddIns. In the folder
/usr/local/lib/monodevelop/AddIns I
have the MonoDevelop.SourceEditor.dll
If I run monodevolop from command line I have the error in
attached file.

Hello Lorenzo.
I also have this issue with monodevelop compiled from SVN, but only if i install it using "make install".
You can go directly to the monodevelop folder and do "make run" and use it from there so you can still work while it is resolved.
You can also use the binary distribution of the latest mono 1.2.5-1 and use the monodevelop beta 1 that comes with it.
