Overriding the highlighter

Hi,

Seems the text editor in MD decides on a highlighter
depending on the 
filename. However it has built in highlighters (seems to be
part of the 
GTK+ Sourceview code) for the filename I use. Is there a way
to override 
the highlighter used for a specific file or extension within
MD so it 
does not use the built in one?
