We have no plans for Qyoto, nobody is working on that.

I'm sure that that will make lot's of people happy, but, I personal don't think that it's a good strategie because:

1º QT specifications it's not fully in OpenSource
2º MonoDevelop don't have to support all the graphical design available on linux. They are getting lot's of work to make GTK and WinForms working that having QT as well will be a "pain in the ass"

I don't even like this difference between Gnome and KDE. They should be as one and try to find a point in the middle that all development should be on.

This is my persnal opinion.

I'm also interested in it. I used to do some Qt/C++ development few years back. Qt4 has grown very much since than. ;
It think it is very difficult to integrate Qt designer in Monodevelop which is Gtk based. I never seen an GTk application which host Qt/Kde controls and vice - versa.
Now Trolltech is part of now part of Nokia. Nokia is very much interested in Mono. They have ported mono to their mobile platform.
I think we should Nokia/Trolltech guys for either start a project similar to QtJambi (Qt for java) or something like that. Both mono and Qt are crucial for Nokia.
I think this would be too much for Monodevelop. They are already short of resources.

Thanx a lot

AFAIK trolltech was trying to integrate Qt's main loop with
glib's main
loop (see
http://doc.trolltech.com/4.2/qt4-2-intro.html#d
esktop-integration) which
should easy every try of integrating any designer for qt4
inside
monodevelop.

Also, I've never seen Nokia interested on mono, and I have
never seen
any mono por for their mobile platform. Maybe, what you mean
is mono for
Internet Tablets (N8x0), but Nokia never contributed to that
port. It
was done by the comunity.

I don't really think MonoDevelop should get much benefit
from
integrating Qt designer or whatever. Gtk has good
foundations and should
provide all needed functionality provided by Qt. To me, it
makes more
sense if someone ports the gui part of monodevelop to Qt.

Uhm, not sure why someone that doesn't know about a topic
feels the urge
to speak about it, but for the record I did the initial port
of mono to
the Nokia 770 and subsequent releases and Nokia did
contribute by
providing me and several mono hackers with free or
discounted devices.
