I remember i actually HAD a winforms designer in my mono in
past... 
There has been a lot of talking about it... Why it has been
dropped???? :-(

Note that it is Ivan's plan, not those from the MD team.
There is
nothing dropped.

FYI, you should not worry about it too much; Ivan has been
working on
System.Design stuff in mcs tree, which is fundamental for
WinForms designer.
