Using version 0.11 on SuSE 10.1

MD starts some auxiliary processes and comunicates with them
via
remoting over unix sockets. Some permission problems
sometime cripple
up in that area.
See if your user has permissions to create and use sockets
on /tmp, for example.

As I'm currently working a lot with Java and even fixing
