plugin sdk build help?

Hey,
Does anyone know how to build/use the plugins SDK
(mozilla/modules/plugin/tools/sdk) to build firefox plugins?
 I'd like
to be able to use the provided samples as a starting point. 
Have I
missed a toplevel make option in building the browser from
source?
