Enabling Software Install - How????

Guys on a Win32 FF1.5, I see no way to Edit Options to
enable
installing extensions.

This worked fine on a pre-1.5 install, and then I did a 1.5
beta, but
now the released 1.5 just shown nothing in the Options Edit
that allows
enabling/diabling software install's.

Thanks for any help here.  This is driving me sane.  I LOVE
some of
those extensions!

You mean bump maxver to make them compatable?

Ummm, no.

I can't install those addon's cuz of FF's basic complaint,
which is
that software installation isn't allowed.  And I see no
option to
change that.  (Pls re-read my orig posting.)

This is vanilla 1.5  , no maxver (whatever that is.)  But
