mrtg report wrong number

Hi, everyone,

I got a strange problem here with MRTG 2.9.17 on Debian
Woody. I have a
shell script which reports active http connections. When it
feed a
number (38, for example) to MRTG, I could not get the right
result from
the MRTG graph, it shows something else, some time 32, some
other time
43, I have no idea how this number is generated... Does
anybody have a
clue or give me some hint?
