  My firewall is turned off. I ended up taking the No-IP download for dynamic IP update software and using that instead. It seems to work till comcast changes my IP address then that even hangs. 

   

  Now since I am not an expert at this, Can someone help me with the exact steps needed to make the DNS part of fastream IQ FTP/WEB server work correctly. Even with the No-IP.com IP update software installed. I still get under WAN heading "not able to be determined".  

   

   I am using Win XP (home edition),  my server plugged into a RV0041 VPN Linksys gigabit router, (which also has it's own firewall). 

   

  Just a note, when I do use the DNS update on the fastream software, I get the usual "server returned 1", when I enter my user ID and password. but the WAN still states "not able to be determined".
